Here we have people still supporting a proxy war that should not have even happened in the first place over de-escalation and negotiation, and at the same time wasting billions of dollars on weapons rather than aid and still claim that 'Russia is losing'.

You have been tricked to support this nonsense and as well as this article to create another villain of the month. Predictable much.

Dude, you're going to have to try harder to win Musk's attention. There are thousands of men on HN alone who are more sycophantic than you. He's just not even going to notice. You'd have more luck trying to get a date on Tinder.

Maybe you can talk about how hardcore Musk's family was to move to Africa from Canada in order to be more racist. Who even does that? It shows commitment to core values and a willingness to cast off the woke mind virus.

Says the one who mentioned him by name, since you're already thinking about him every day in whatever he does. Hence your emotionally charged reaction.

So for me being against a war that should not have happened in the first place and spending for billions in weapons NOT aid somehow makes one craving for Elon Musk's attention? Did you not realize how ridiculous your comment was before you posted it?

It appears that you're more obsessed about him than most HNers here quite frankly to go off the rails from the discussion with such total nonsense.

> being against a war that should not have happened in the first place

I'm glad we could find common ground. For a minute there I actually thought you were shilling for a warmongering dictator.

Based on their comment, I'd assume they're trying to win _Putin's_ attention. The "war is Ukraine's and/or the west's fault, somehow" narrative is a Russian propaganda talking point.
Ah yes, So being against wars means you're a Putin supporter and we should all be supporting more escalation even if it turns into a third world war. Got it.

> The "war is Ukraine's and/or the west's fault, somehow" narrative is a Russian propaganda talking point.

The west always needs to be involved in more pointless proxy wars just like the ones they have created in the past and continuing to waste billions in weapons rather than aid since there's needs to be a profit made in minting millions off of fuelling and trading weapons for these wars.

All of that perfectly worked well in previous wars didn't it with money well spent. /s The celebrating of more forever wars.

There's a point where propaganda is just too stupid to be effective. Is there really that large of an audience that can be convinced that self-defense is wrong?
De-escalating is easy, you just have to surrender.
And Putin is actually peace-loving — he'd love to grab land peacefully, without any resistance! It's just bad Ukraine who doesn't get that...
And NATO are at fault. They forced him to invade a country and bomb its cities. Like, he had literally no choice. The Russians are the real victims here.
How dare the Ukraines attempt to resist Russian invaders? The very nerve!
> What if Neuralink actually happens, and Musk suddenly has chips in the heads of real people?

Yeah, that actually sounds like a more dangerous threat than AGI to me. Maybe all that AGI alarmism from Musk is just to divert the public attention from what's the real danger (ultra-wealthy oligarch psychopaths running our society).
