For those about to make the same mistake I was - this data is NOT about the 9/11 attacks, it just happened to be released on this date
They knew what they were doin with that title
Presumably the hacker chose the date on purpose.
But… isnt that the whole story? That it happened to be on the same day.
Yeah, but they could have worded it more clearly. "FBI Hacker Dropped Stolen Airbus Data on Sept 11th Anniversary" or something.
All the planes involved in the attacks were Boeings, not Airbuses.
To me "9/11" is the 2001 attacks, yeah Krebs being clickbaity there, would he have titled it "... Stolen Airbus data on 9/8" if it happened a few days earlier? No, because the date isn't that significant to be in the title..
> Hudson Rock said it recovered the log files created by a RedLine infection on the Turkish airline employee’s system, and found the employee likely infected their machine after downloading pirated and secretly backdoored software for Microsoft Windows.

You'd think that downloading pirated software on your work computer with important credentials on it maybe isn't such a good idea.

the problem is some employees of these organisations dont think like that
In recent developments about the 9/11 attacks, there is new evidence the highest level of the Saudi Arabia monarchy knew of and supported these cowardly acts of mass murder. It's especially bad optics that Biden shook hands with MbS, the slaughterer of Jamal Khashoggi.
