This isn't something I can understand has a clear mandate about tech and start-ups, it's not commentary about politics it's a statement by a politician which goes to politics not technology.

Why is this here?

1) Remember, with Republican accusations, it's ALWAYS projection. Yes, ALWAYS.

2) Per the guidelines: "On-Topic: Anything that good hackers would find interesting. That includes more than hacking and startups. If you had to reduce it to a sentence, the answer might be: anything that gratifies one's intellectual curiosity."

Well, I guess I'm wrong. Maybe this is central to HN and I could imagine the kinds of self immolation amongst tech elites will in due course follow as spring follows winter. So, where would Peter Thiel be in this? Would he be funding RFKj? Or Musk? If there is a pledge relating to s.w. and h.w. development investment and taxation it will have to be strongly focussed on the west coast states to garner support, but tech is looking to Texas and other places, so perhaps there is a left right split here, as in left of Rockies and right of Rockies?
This guy is a died in the wool hard leftie so I think it is right on target for "hacker news".

Hacker news is really hard-left-ultra-core-left-liberal-straight-up-commie-news.

you made an account just for that?
