Hello, Hacker News community!

I'm Chuang. Together with my friend ZP, we've spent the last couple of months crafting "NodeSpell", a new web development platform. It's still in its early stages, but we're thrilled about its potential and wanted to share a sneak peek with you all.

Drawing from my experiences in the film visual effects industry, I've witnessed significant advancements with the adoption of node-based apps in film and TV post-production. Yet when I tried my hand at building a website last year, the available platforms felt limiting. With little web development knowledge at the time, I struggled to find a tool that combined user-friendliness with genuine customization. I just don't really like how much of the template feel you get from the website builders?

This sparked the idea for NodeSpell: a node-based system tailored for web development, accessible right from the browser.

We understand that nodes aren't a one-size-fits-all solution. Initially, we're aiming to cater to individuals with a foundational understanding of web development concepts. Over time, as we refine and expand, we'll open it up to a broader audience.

I invite you to check out our sneak peek video and would genuinely appreciate any feedback. Let us know your thoughts, Thanks!

Looks nice, if it works for you to get your work done faster in the film industry then go for it!
