Senate Bill 362 provides that California will create a centralized single opt-out point for all data brokers, instead of the current process that requires every California resident have to repeatedly contact, each of several hundred, data brokers to opt out. Data brokers will have to poll the central service a minimum of every 45 days, and will have an additional 45 days to delete the data. A deletion request also counts as a do not sell request.
