Ask HN: From Tasking to Leadership
Yesterday the boss in my small team (who is also the boss of other small teams within the org) told me there is a crisis in leadership in my small team. The person that i (and everyone else in the small group) view as the defacto leader in my small group is apparently not leading in a full-enough capacity (according to this person, who is also his boss). Not a full-enough capacity because in-office the boss witnessed an event that had big implications for what we are building that none of us stopped to address (as an example).
How do I change my behavior here to basically transition from taking tickets to leadership in our small team so that we do not capsize? Anyone have experience with this?
