I found it interesting that you used nanoid for this, a very simple and elegant solution. Can you speak to why you made this so scaled down, and how you chose the domain name? I find that the main downside to shorteners is that the domain itself looks like something that would hack your computer, which means sending a shortened link to anyone who doesn't know the domain is followed by the question, "did you send this or were you hacked?"
