Missing Novell server discovered after four years (2001) (theregister.com)

Do we know if this server ever was replaced with an NT box, as the story warns against?

I've personally seen netware 3.x servers with multiple years of uptime. I completely believe one could just keep chugging behind a wall for a few years.
