Ask HN: How do you use Grafana dashboards and alerts as code?

At my $job we have a lot of dashboards crafted manually over time, and now there are also alerts in several dashboards. I wish I could organise them as code, and define alerts also in code such that changing them would need an MR to be approved. I saw grafanalib, but it appears to make us re do all the dashboards in Python and their API which is not great.

Have you done something like this at your org? Any easy way into this?
