Everyone knows that silicon valley died after the space race ended. If it didn't die then it was surely dead after main frames were replaced by mini's and the mini's were killed by personal computers. It was most surely deceased when AOL passed. If the dotcom collapse in 2000 didn't convince everyone you just can't be convinced. Now if the slow painful death of Bitcoin and Twitter can't hammer the fact into your brain then something must be wrong.
Rightly or wrongly Thiel became persona non grata in SV because of some his rather unpopular ideas. Of course he has little good to say about the place. We need to stop diefying people simply because they make a lot of money.
