Ask HN: What bulk email sender are you using?

looking for first-hand recommendations, testimonials for a bulk mail sender. transactional mailers seem to be more common, but i'm looking for bulk. every good testimonial i find is followed up by "so and so has been acquired by bigco"

Don't. No one wants your spam.

Bulk email can have several purposes other than spam. Communicating policy changes and announcing new features, for example.

Now to answer OP's question: I have to admit my company doesn't allow the use of any non-approved software, so I make do with MergeMail in Word. Yeah, rudimentar, but does the job.
