You care to sight any studies that back up this claim? Having worked with those professionals I don't feel they they generate higher quality products. They most definitely, in general, are much slower and much more bureaucratic. You knew if you were on a project in Canada or EU you were basically going to be going MUCH slower and if things got done no one seemed to care, it was crazy.
Yea I am in Oz and I am very proud of our outcomes, but productivity wise, we have not got especially high ranking scores: 60kUSD compared to 70kUSD GDP per capita AU/US respectively.

We have a lot of public holidays, and 6 weeks annual leave. Maybe our superhuman skill is being "average" on less working hours in the year?

We do have an awesome minimum wage. And, nothing like FAANG peak salary for tech. So maybe in the ICT domain it's about outcome per unit salary cost?
