I had to click on the article to find out who the "Metro police" were. I was wondering if they were an part of PSNI or Police Scotland I'd not heard of.

No-one calls the Metropolitan Police that, they're the Met police (or just "the Met"), or the Metropolitan Police.

Of course you are correct. I tried to keep as much of the original title as possible.
>Fired into the vehicle he was driving

Is this the video I saw where they had pulled him over, he refused to show ID, and then drove off pushing/pulling the officer for a second?

That doesn’t mean he should be shot - but if this is the same case I’m thinking, I wouldn’t count someone with a vehicle as unarmed. It is very much is armed, ask Nice where a single rental truck killed more people than any mass shooting in the USA ever.

you wouldn't have seen a video its not been released yet.
Seems like a different event. Wonder why they aren’t releasing it?

Point stands, if you are in a vehicle chase with police - you are armed. Period. You have a 4000lb bullet capable of intentional and unintentional death. If they got him out of the car and then shot him, that will indeed be a different thing.

In my research for this, the number of times I heard and read “he was expected to be a father in months” was over the top. The media has an angle to push, and like you said, no one has even seen the video yet.

You make a highway sound like a mass murderer convention.
I mean… people are killed in and around vehicles more than everything but maybe heart disease (guessing) so… kinda?
I'm pretty disappointed in this from the Met, although I thought my opinion couldn't go lower of them they have managed it. This is not the US, any use of force by the state against citizens should be scrutinised and if warranted officers should be punished. There have been alot of FUD about this case from the press and online but the only questions that matters is "Did the officer have reason to believe that their or another persons life was in imminent danger?" A Judge and Jury will decide that as the CPS believe there is a case to answer.
