I wanted to run some JS in the console on the Chrome Web Store, and was surprised to see that Chrome will block this. If you open the console on another page, then navigate to the web store, the browser will close the console.

If you go there on Safari everything works as expected.

Seems a bit weird? I guess there was some kind of abuse problem they wanted to solve?

Firefox also blocks addons on special pages.

I am not talking about blocking add-ons or apps. I am saying they're blocking dev tools as a whole.

Brave seems to allow it as well.
