As far as layoff emails go, this is one of the better ones. No nonsense, clearly they tried to make something work and it did not and they're owning that and providing good support to those affected as they transition elsewhere.

6 months of pay is insane. Quite honestly, it'd tempt me to volunteer to get laid off. I think one can get unemployment as well? That'd give someone 6 months to recharge and probably while having more income than before.
Tim is great. No bullshit corporatespeak spinning this as a good thing for the laid off people, and offering 6 months severance with paid healthcare is top notch compared to what other companies have done to their employees during layoffs (such as promising 3 months of severance pay and then rugpulling and paying them nothing).
