Authors shocked to find AI ripoffs of their books being sold on Amazon (theguardian.com)

My concern is this might discourage potential authors who wish to share their knowledge and be compensated for their work, leading them to reconsider publishing altogether. Which would be a major blow to generational knowledge sharing.
