Was this "here is my story, me! Me! Me!" trend of "journalism" always a thing? I feel this is all I can stumble upon these days. The one whose parents are immigrants, the one whose son has special needs, the one whose mom voted for Trump, the one who had an abortion, etc etc. Was it always like that?
