Ask HN: Where Are the Failure Stories?
The internet holds a lot of promise, but now I'm stuck with facing the fact that I never want to see another computer again. 20 years of programming and nothing to show for it.
God will not allow me to share my programs on the internet. Never has done, never will do.
Why is there always endless hope here. Even when it's a lie, you don't think people will endure endless hope to the bitter end?
Thanks for nothing.

[ 3.2 ms ] story [ 236 ms ] threadI don't want to give you any advice or chant any platitudes at you. I'll say that what's made my current situation more bearable has been reclaiming a little corner of tech for myself-- a FreeBSD ThinkPad "project car", a little dice roller for a tabletop campaign with my friends written in Rust. It isn't very much, but it's at least scraps of the comfort and control I used to feel.
