I think now is a salient time to remind people:

Don’t read the news. It’s bad for you and wants to make you angry or scared so you read more and share more.

Moreover, most news is fake, in the sense that your understanding of the world is worse after reading it. Most newsworthy things are rare so nearly everything you read about in the news is statistically overrepresented. This means if you read about something that ~never happens, and you implicitly conclude that it ~sometimes happens, your understanding of the world has not gotten better, but worse!

Have universities ever not had speech codes? Seems pretty implicit to the idea of an organization where everyone needs to get along.
Diogenes would never have said that.
