Ask HN: How to keep pointer position on mission control? [SOVED]

Does anyone know how to prevent the mouse from automatically jumping to desktop list when you open mission control on Sonoma? Before the Sonoma update the mouse position stayed put when you opened mission control instead of automatically jumping to the list of desktops. It is driving me crazy.
