i have been using rustdesk for as long as the project existed. only recently i found a genius hack.
i already use zerotier to connect the machines so someone said to put a random proxy address on both sides so that direct ip address connection would work.
Beautifully works. fully disconnected from outside internet and bulletproof connections.
i use wayland on local side and windows on remote side. it works (clipboard is in works, there is an active PR).
