That makes it sound like Stripe has zero convictions and just follows what everyone else does.
Until I got to the numbers I assumed that Stripe's remote percentage stayed relatively stable as other firms moved around. And I guess the numbers bear that out. If Stripe went from 20% -> 40% and similar companies went from 15% -> 50% then it looks like Stripe has more convictions about remote work than most companies.
TFA doesn't quote him as glad to be rid, though it does say their WFH percentage has gone from 20% pre-pandemic to 40% now. I think the body of the article disproves the headline.
