Ask HN: Are you recently getting lots of cold emails from GitHub users?

This past couple of weeks I’ve had several different people reach out asking me to check out their cool new repo because they saw I had previously starred some other repos.

I’ve had a GitHub specific email publicly on my account for ages, and maybe had one person reach out in the past few years (and I star lots of repos).

But suddenly I’ve had like 6 this week so far.

Is anyone else getting this influx? I’m wondering if something changed on the GitHub side or if the stars just aligned.
