Show HN: Touchless wake up of a battery powered device (blog.framelabs.eu)

I've been working on a prototype ArtFrame (battery powered picture frame with epaper display) that can be woken up by briefly hovering over it with a hand. So far it is only a prototype, but it works reliably.
