OMG this is nostalgia overflow, i did spent so much time of my childhood with this 8bit stuff. I still love 8bit music for that reason, always brings the feeling back.
Google should do more of this stuff (but more practical stuff) and put serious development distance between itself and facebook. Being able to have a good idea and then built it at work is what Google's about--or at least what I think they should be about. I really have no idea how their corporate climate operates.
