Ask HN: What is the peak of modern, fast C++ build automation+compile tools?

The company I'm working for is considering converting a very old QMake-built project over to more modern and compatible build tooling, like Cmake.

What are the best currently available 'modern' options for fast compile times?

Maybe something like Cmake with Ninja, with Clang and Mold as the linker?
