Canada's tech worker wages way behind their U.S. counterparts (ladysmithchronicle.com)

I looked into Canadian tech jobs a couple of years ago and they were even lower than what's in the article. Senior developer roles for ~$65,000/year. I made this much money my first year out of college.

This was also near Toronto. With real-state prices sky-high, I don't know how anyone could live there on this salary.
