Tested it out and it's pretty damn awesome even in alpha stage. It has Unicode and security certificates work. It's a real contender in the traditional e-Mail space.

(I'm an early backer, put maybe $10 on one of the early Kickstarters, and just got it a few days ago. I totally recommend this for anyone who needs a good e-mailer.)
