And how many of those won't be played again due to forced migration to Microsoft account?
Forget forced migration. I'm pretty sure I bought a few of those just because I couldn't remember my credentials.
You can add at least 2 to the kill count. My PC version & my android version.
Only a couple disgrunted seniors that hold tight their ideologies (mostly from the IT sector).

Teens/kids don't care about that.

It's not just ideologies. The transition to Microsoft accounts was incredibly buggy. It often wouldn't work and would force you to re-buy a copy of the game.
The new changelog they just announced - https://minecraft.wiki/w/Java_Edition_1.21

They are adding autocrafting:

> Crafter

> - Works as an automated crafting table containing a 9-slot inventory.

> - Hoppers can be used to insert items in the crafting table.

> - Behaves as a Dropper for the crafted items.

> - Slots can be blocked to prevent items from entering them.

> - Can craft recipes that do not show in the recipe book such as Firework Rockets with patterns.

Meanwhile the fletching table still have no use.

Many of the new(er) features are cool, but the development generally seems so unfocused to me. So many half done features that don't fit together.

Well there goes MumboJumbo’s attempted Minecraft retirement.
The amount microsoft spent to acquire mojang seemed so big at the time. It's amazing how much its paid off for them.
