Ask HN: Offline Markdown editor with Git client?
I've been trying to find a good offline Markdown editor with the following features:
Must have:
* Instant preview, either inline or side-by-side.
* Git client, allowing saving directly to a remote repo
* Self-standing, i.e. not a plug-in for an editor or IDE.
Nice to have: * Cross platform, ideally for all thre OSs; MacOS is minimum.
Any recommendations?

No one expects the OS inquisition! Our four main OSes are macOS, Android, Plan 9, iOS. Hang On, what about iPadOS. and iWatchOS. And what about the ios used on Cisco routers? And someone forgot about ChromeOS. And Someone else forgot about Windows. Ooh and don't forget about Window Mobile. Ooh and WebOS. How about Gentoo? Does that count as one? Well, now that you mention it, there's Arch and Tails and Ubuntu and Fedora. Oh but CentOS is dead. RIP.
What's that? Anyway, I lost count. No one expects an OS inquisition!
