Introducing GRID: the General Robot Intelligence Development platform, designed for prototyping smart and safe robots rapidly using foundation models, LLMs, and simulation. GRID combines state of the art foundation models in computer vision, robotics, etc. with the powerful orchestration capabilities of large language models. GRID can solve several complex, long-horizon robotics tasks in zero-shot fashion, and also integrates a high fidelity simulation for synthetic data generation as well as code/policy refinement. GRID aims to reduce the barrier to entry to robotics, and is currently in alpha preview.
