Hate to bang that annoying drum, but 13 random houses/apartments/whatever aren’t going to change the housing market. Only building more units will. But outrage over a handful of vacant properties is easy to come by, and all the closeted NIMBYs can pretend they want change.

Building more units will increase supply, and placing limits on ownership will increase access. We can play all the angles to address housing supply.
