Ask HN: Best Way to Sell a Domain

Does anyone have insight on a good way to actually sell a domain?

I’ve had a four letter domain for many years for a project that I thought I would do and figure I may as well sell it. It’s not a common word, but it is in the dictionary.

I searched and it seems like all the SEO results are kind of useless in that they offer to sell on commission or for some ridiculous price ($100).

I read some old posts here [0,1] but they are 10+ years old and don’t seem to apply too much.

I get probe emails asking to sell abo it 1-2 per year and reply but never get further responses so I suppose it’s people just checking if anyone actually cares.

I’m not sure how to value something like lwei.com to determine if it’s worth selling, or keeping for my long procrastinated project (a micro transaction system as “lwei” means penny in a few African nations).
