Genocide sometimes isn’t apparent until you’re looking at it in retrospect. Today we’re seeing Israel carpet-bombing Gazans. We see settler colonialism wiping out the indigenous population of the West Bank. If you read most of the Wall Street Journal’s media on Palestine, all of them scream war and retribution (in words for polite society, of course). I can’t convey to you in a few words their overall bias, but that’s has been my experience with the WSJ, from defending Netanyahu’s judicial reform to calling for blood and destruction at any cost for Israel’s enemies.
The genocide of the Palestinian people continues. They are being carpet-bombed and 1.1 million have been asked to evacuate their homes within 24 hours. If that’s not genocide and ethnic cleaning, what is it? In past years, that is precisely how we ended up with Palestinian refugees in Lebanon and Jordan—they are refugees from previous Israeli offensives. This is nothing but a continuation of that.
"Inadvertently" in the title is specious. Several high rank Israeli officials (including Benjamin Netanyahu) have recognized helping Hamas financing itself for various political reasons, like keeping the Palestinian Authority powerless and more generally keeping Palestinians politically divided.
the current running narrative is that he explicitly financed himself.
anyhow, those money we going to paying various salaries, etc. so if those transfers wouldn't be approved then israel would have been blamed for making people go hungry because salaries can't be paid. in fact it (blaming) did happen
