I found this product and am leaning towards it, because it could adopt the roles of both my PC and phone, since it can run both Linux and Android aplications as a degoogled fork of ChromeOS. I still have reservations, so I am interested to hear other recommendations for tablets as well as any comments on this product.
With the rise of convertibles you can find quite a lot of machines that will be happy to run Linux, especially if you go for 2+ years old models.

Of course there are things like PineTab, which is more like a fun hobby project rather than a serious daily-driver machine; and Librem also, but Purism has crazy pricing.
