Looking for Role Models/Inspirations

I was an ML engineer till three weeks ago, when I got laid off from my fintech employer.

I want to change course and do something more meaningful. I do not have ambitions for money or status.

I want a job that is meaningful and allows me to spend time with loved ones. I find meaning in a job that touches lives and helps the world directly. Think teachers, nurses, police officers, environmental activists, etc.

I could learn from others who have made similar changes. Would love to hear from anyone who has anything to share. Cheers
