Built a Tool for Efficient Pitch Deck Sharing After Struggling with WhatsApp File Limits

I recently faced a unique challenge: My investor wanted our pitch deck sent over WhatsApp. I had designed it meticulously using Figma, but post-export, the file size ballooned to over 100MB, making WhatsApp transmission impossible.

Pain points I grappled with:

* WhatsApp's refusal to handle beefy files, making pitch deck sharing a hassle. * Emails getting rejected due to colossal attachment sizes. * Exasperatingly slow download speeds on platforms like Google Drive. * Figma’s lack of file size trimming options. * Adobe Acrobat’s limited compression scope. * Mac’s Preview app, while great for text-centric PDFs, doesn’t quite cut it for high-res images.

Not to mention, turning to online services brought up privacy concerns, especially with the absence of file management options.

The Solution: I crafted a tool that bridges these gaps. A desktop version is in the pipeline and I’ll update here once it's live. Feedback, critiques, and suggestions welcome!

So I uploaded one of my standard test files for compression and it actually expanded the file size from 52K to 93K while making the images blurry.
