I do not believe people will care about this until it is too late. It is so sad to watch how the majority of the population ignores it, and the elite believe they will escape unscathed from this mess.

You can think of "West Antarctica" as being "west" in the sense that it is located primarily in the western hemisphere, and likewise "East Antarctica" is mostly in the eastern hemisphere.
