TL;DR version: Which US/international companies hire remote DevOps/SRE engineers based in Australia?

I'm based in Sydney and the job market here is bad right now. I worked remotely for the last 4 years and want to change jobs, but most companies require to go back to the office for 2-3 days a week. As salaries here are low and housing costs in the millions, I can only live in the suburbs, and I don't want to commute 1 hour+ one way.

Which companies are open to hire DevOps/SRE in Aus?

A former coworker moved back to Aus (Perth?, he's Aussie) from British Columbia. He was awesome but apparently the timezone change was too large for him to continue with the North American based org. Not sure the new work status.

A friend-of-friend (U.S. nationality) might move to Sydney(?) for work with Amazon, to be closer to a team based there.

Random data points and not direct answer but would assume large companies in general would be relevant here.

Edit: I don't support amazon at all this is just for information transfer
