This kind of hyper-masculine "men need to feel powerful" stuff is pure patriarchy. So much of this stuff is societal, not biological, and yet it's presented as truth.
Highly recommend _The Will to Change: Men, Masculinity, and Love_ by bell hooks, if you're looking for a book about Men's suffering that actually looks at how men need to be cared for and loved. @watchfulcoyote on tiktok also has really great content, if you want something more shortform and digestible.
I beg to differ. While there are always exceptions, no amount of modern social contortion and correctness is going to just erase many thousands of years of innate tendencies among men. Masculinity and its connections to dominance traits and aggression among men is not just some bullshit social construction. Anyone who claims that is either trying to politicize mountains of observed evidence or completely naive.
