You know that Bandcamp has been sold twice this past year time.. The new owner just laid off 50% of the Bandcamp staff. https://www.theverge.com/2023/10/16/23919551/bandcamp-layoff...
Also they should be on everything they can be which is why we are looking to make deals with Distrokid, Tunecore and 20+ other entities to push their indie artists from our site as well.
Indie music sites are like the wine industry, the more indie wineries there are the more they grow and foster each other with additional sales.
We also are offering besides À la carte revenue for downloads;
- $0.05 per via fan subscription downloads.
- $0.05 per free downloads generated by our jingle ad server
- A portion of our fan Basic and Standard subscriptions goes into a pool to be split evenly with all artists on the platform.
The staff size is back to what it was before the Epic acquisition. I don't think they're hurting at all. Plus, Epic was merely using the Bandcamp acquisition to get footing in a case against Google for their pricing in the Play Store
