No it isn't and will never be here.

Whether it is AI or Crypto, Blockchain or whatever, please stop saying 'Web 3.0' or 'Web3' and trying to make this happen, this is getting very tired and cringeworthy.

Crypto opened a pandora's box for ransomware scams and OpenAI 'opened' a pandora's box for fake news, fake images and disinformation campaigns to amplify the scams.

Crypto created this mess and AI is just wiping the mess everywhere while at the same time both of them require mass amounts of energy and waste to function.

Maybe I missed the author's point a bit, but it didn't sound like they were pegging the web 3 term on a specific tech at all
See zeldman's 2006 article about when "web 2.0" turned into business speak. It was cringeworthy then.

Not sure why ppl think this is some new insight: Slashdot was "web 2.0" well before "web 1.0" was a thing. We had a reading group that went deeply into this after the publication of Kurzweil's "Age of Spritual Machines" (1999). AI is the baby of humanity, it will be trained on the web, blah-bitty blah blah.

Crypto and AI having nothing to do with the platforms or the delivery style/agents. IMO, "web 3.0" == "mixed reality 1.0", so I am biased
