In my experience, I got more done in less time because I wasn't distracted by 3 different conversations happening right next to me in an "open office"
Similar, plus with no commute that time was often spent continuing to work vs ducking out at 5pm sharp in order to get home in enough time to go for a run or walk before dark etc.
Not just any billionaire CEO. The CEO of Blackstone, the largest commercial real estate investor in the world. A man whose income depends on continued demand for business office space isn't likely to be one who endorses work-from-home.
Hardest I ever worked. I rolled out of bed straight onto my laptop at 7:30am and clocked out at 6:00pm. I was able to do for my company what a company in India was contracted to do for 2 years and still couldn't deliver on in 8 months.
