I read the post and didn’t see where in it he tells us how he turned 1k into 700MM.
Hauling away large items is one of those things I’ll pay unreasonable amounts for. “Are you telling me for $x this old washer, dryer, and exercise machine will just magically disappear from my basement? Sold.”

It seems like an intuitively genius business because the proposition is simply someone willing to do the hard work. It doesn’t require any novel technology or unique angle. Just someone willing to hustle.

And I think that’s why this story feels so good to me. It’s not some kid of a rich family who wants to disrupt by shoving a middleman in somewhere or adding SaaS to a problem that doesn’t need it. Absent of hidden details, it’s someone who worked hard and earned it.
