Show HN: Easily create montages with no vendor lock in (digitapes.app)

Hey all,

I've made Digitapes because my wife and I frequently love going photos of when our 2 year old was born.

Google Photos (and the icloud equivalent) loves to give us "montages" which really tickle our fancy, but they're never enough, and they don't pick the best photos (or what we would have picked) --- and what's more, is that we can never "share" the montage to our friends and family, because it's some in-app thing.

If we try to look at memories from our holidays, it's usually that I have half the photos (google), and she has the other half (ios). -- basically everything is a big, locked in, inflexible, and annoying mess..

So I made Digitapes to allow us to:

* Make a "tape" (which is like a mini photo album). * We can both "share to" (using the digitapes app) that tape, as if we were sharing in whatsapp. * In the background, digitapes will make the montage for us.

So now, when we go on holidays, we can just take a bunch of photos, "share" the best ones to digitapes, and when the holiday is over, we can just download or link a url to that montage so that our friends can see what we were up to.

I haven't gotten the android / ios apps "in the stores" yet, but let me know what you think and how I can make this better!
