You can now turn your Amazon Echo into a Wi-Fi extender (zdnet.com)

I had no idea this wasn't enabled yet. I remembered reading about it, but the coverage from my current Eero 6+ nodes was good enough that I didn't see the need to enable wifi from the slower Echos.

Is there any way to do this with CFW or similar to turn them into a dumb WiFi extender, without Amazon's recording and tracking present?
