Ask HN: Can anyone suggest an alternative to github.com/jrjr/paw.js

I am looking to implement something similar to what metamask already does with their extension. Can anyone familiar to this asymmetric cryptography mechanism shed some light into the feasibility of that approach?

I hate any passwordless crap: 2fa, 3fa, secret questions for e-mail, totp.
