Copy webpage text, convert to Markdown (chrome.google.com)

Would be great if that would be native. Like in the Inspektor-> Copy as Markdown

Does anyone know of a good way to do something like this with Discord chats? I keep a running development log on a rust gamedev server that I'd like to export to markdown.

There is an extension that I used in Firefox, Markdownload. They have one for Chrome as well. It does excellent job converting webpage to markdown. Its have selection copy and optional webpage information that use properties tag.

There are some website (Hacker News for example) that Markdownload couldn't convert it to .MD but will preserve it with HTML instead.

The way I tend to do this is copy the stuff, then paste into a markdown-aware app like Obsidian. It'll handle the conversion of html-flavored clipboard to markdown for you.

Does anyone recommend any CLI utilities to extract the main body test of a webpage?
