Offtopic: browsing the site you can find some nice photos of early 1900 Japan.
Which do you consider most interesting?

These are good. I find Japanese culture absolutely mesmerizing and awe-inspiring in history. A speculative side of me feels like it’s much older than the zeitgeist suggests it to be.
I tried memorizing Hentaigana via an Anki deck, but was failing at it so miserably, that I gave up.

I see in that deck that my most reviewed card in the deck has a show count of 453! Yet I'm sure I'd lapse on it if shown it today.

You might as well memorize plates of spaghetti.
