Happy Halloween! Instead of going to a Halloween party this year, my wife and I decided to run a tiny Hackathon and built this little retro choose-your-own-adventure to pay tribute to a popular series of yesteryear. Try and escape! Also pumpkin mode!!

We made liberal use of ChatGPT for code, DALLE3/Midjourney for images, but did most of the storyboarding/writing ourselves because we couldn't stand the style of GPT4/Claude.

Maybe a silly point, but “Choose Your Own Adventure” is a trademarked phrase and you could get in hot water if you ever try to sell it.

Haha, thanks for the top - no commercialisation plans, but good to know anyway :)

I loved choose your own adventure type books as a kid. I'm not sure if the format works as well digitally though. Part of the intrigue was jumping around to parts of the book.
